Regrets that the European Schools are often wrongly considered to be elitist schools, when their missionAcknowledges that the mission of the European Schools is to provide mother- tongue education for students whose parents may be required to change their place of work or return to their country of origin; regrets that these schools operate a restrictive enrolment policy, which prevents local children being accepted into the schools at the expense of children from staff of the EU institutions;
