Article 42a Certificates and labels In order to encourage more rigorous control of imports, the Commission shall, following consultation with interested parties, present a report to the European Parliament and to the Council, accompanied by a legislative proposal, with the aim of establishing a certification and/or labelling system detailing the origin and the environmental and nutritional quality of fishery and aquaculture products at EU level. The report shall establish the minimum requirements for obtaining the certificates and the labelling authorisation.
