Underlines that, despite the EU added value of cultural investment, Creative Europe represents 0.15 % of the overall EU budget, of which only 31 % is earmarked for culture; welcomes the new MFF proposal and the proposed increase in funding as a good first step and calls for a doubling of the budget allocated to the new Creative Europe programme and for making the programme more accessible for smaller organisations;

Regrets that culture isand the arts are not mentioned in the majority of policy fields it contributes to in the Commission’s MFF proposal and calls on the Commission, therefore, in collaboration with CCSs, to design holistic and coordinated strategies for mainstreaming culture and the arts in other policy areas;
