Welcomes the 2030 Agenda and its sustainability goals, which are not only environmental but also social and economic in nature; stresses that, although the EU farming industry is already making a valuable contribution to sustainability, through the Common Agricultural Policy and stringent environmental requirements, it still needs to adapt better to the many challenges facing it;
