Takes the view that the synergy betweenUnderlines that the bioeconomy will make a significant contribution to the development of rural and coastal areas; takes the view that synergy and close cooperation along the value chain including local producers of agricultural raw materials and biorefineries could help strengthen the competitiveness and increase the profitability of ruralthese regions; hopes, to that end, that an approach can be takenis of the view that Europe should develop a long-term bioeconomy strategy that takes into account the different segments of the so-called ‘pyramid of biomass’, strengthening it at its highest levels and thus sparking a trickle-down effect for this precious resourcefocusing on the higher segments of the biomass pyramid and giving preference to the use of 2nd and eventually 3rd generation biomass;
