Article 1 – paragraph 1
1. A European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training (CEPOL) is hereby established in order to foster a coherent European law enforcement training policy, based on the network of National Training Institute for Law Enforcement Officials in Member States, is hereby established to improve cooperation among law enforcement authorities in the European Union by supporting the training of their law enforcement officials in relation to prevention, detection and investigation of criminal offences, maintenance of law and order and EU police missions.

Article 3 – paragraph 1 – introductory part
1. CEPOL shall support, develop and coordinate training for law enforcement officers, in line with the Law Enforcement Training Scheme, in particular in the areas of the fight against seriousials, in particular in the areas of preventing and combating serious and organized crime affecting two or more Member Sstates and terrorism, management of high-risk public order and sportsmajor events, planning and command of Union missions, as well as law enforcement leadership and language skills, in order tot the European level and language skills. More specifically, CEPOL shall:

3. The Heads of the nNational unitsSingle Point of Contact shall meet on a regular basis, at the request of the Management Board or the Executive Director, to assist CEPOL with operational matters, and in particular to: and can collaborate with CEPOL.
