Calls for the post-2013 CAP to pursue foodlong term food security objectives which encourage new forms of sustainable agricultural production which save energy, reduce the use of chemicals and exploit the potential of ecosystems more effectively; points out that it must be capable of responding to environmental challenges, such as climate change, depletion of resources, water pollution and, soil erosion, and loss of biodiversity etc.;
