Reiterates that the European Semester process was introduced to help achieve Europe 2020 targets for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth; in this context, calls on the Commission to integrate the revised Europe 2020 strategy more firmly into the European Semester and to strengthen the role of the environment and health in the process, acknowledging the substantial prospects for growth and investment in these areas as well as their contribution to the wider objectives of the strategymainstream the Union's environmental objectives into the process;
