Calls on the Commission to engage with stakeholders and other relevant partners involved in the campaign for a global end to animal testing forthe use of animals in cosmetics testing, and to consider the possibility of organising side events at the next UN General Assembly, to enable discussion among actors on the benefits and merits of an international convention against the testing of animals for cosmetics;

14a. Calls on the Commission, Council and Member States to maintain funding for the development of alternatives and work within international structures in order to expedite the validation and acceptance of alternative methods, and provide third countries with knowledge transfer and financial support where scientists may be unaware of alternative methods and testing facilities may lack the necessary research infrastructure;
