Welcomes the efforts of some Member States who provide free access to prevention of gender-related diseases and encourages Member States who have not yet done so to strengthen preventive healthcare for older women by providing, for example, for accessible and regular mammographies and cervical smear tests, free of charge, and to raise awareness of the importance of screening;
