Stresses that the EU budget should support the promotion of social convergence, the development of a policy on socially responsible enterprises and the monitoring of the application of statutory social standards by enterprises in order to ensure the creation of decent jobs (jobs that are stable and offer good working conditions and sufficient pay to gain access to essential goods and services).
