Notes that only three pieces of legislation in this field have been adopted so far, namely the Brussels I Recast, the Successions Regulation and the Rome III Regulation, of which only the third is applicable today, and that, whereas the Commission has made a signification number of proposals called for in the Stockholm Programme, several major proposals are still outstanding, including the mutual recognition of the effects of civil status documents and the 14th Company Law Directive;
