Reminds that the ageing of the population and demographic change will continue to put a significant pressure on the health care systems of EU Member States; stresses that this challenge should be tackled through ambitious reforms and considers that the European Semester is an important tool to support Member States in ensuring the cost-effectiveness and sustainability of these systems;
