Details

PURPOSE: to codify Council Directive 74/151/EEC relating to certain parts and characteristics of wheeled agricultural or forestry tractors.

LEGISLATIVE ACT: Directive 2009/63/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on certain parts and characteristics of wheeled agricultural or forestry tractors (codified version)

CONTENT: the purpose of this Directive is to codify Council Directive 74/151/EEC of 4 March 1974 on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to certain parts and characteristics of wheeled agricultural or forestry tractors. The Directive will supersede the various acts incorporated in it. It fully preserves the content of the acts being codified and hence does no more than bring them together, with only such formal amendments as are required by the codification exercise itself.

ENTRY INTO FORCE: 08/09/2009.

Details

PURPOSE: to codify provisions on certain parts and characteristics of wheeled agricultural or forestry tractors.

PROPOSED ACT: Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council.

CONTENT: the purpose of this proposal is to codify Council Directive 74/151/EEC on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to certain parts and characteristics of wheeled agricultural or forestry tractors. In codifying legislative acts that have been amended frequently the EU is seeking to both simplify and clarify EU legislation.
