For the purpose of paragraph 1 points (b) and (c), ‘mutual fund’ shall mean a scheme accredited by the Member State in accordance with its national law for affiliated farmers to insure themselves, whereby compensation payments are made to affiliated farmers affected by economic losses caused by the outbreak of an animal or plant disease or an environmental inciddverse climatic events or experiencing a severe drop in their income.
