Stresses the need to benefit from the EU’s competitive advantage so that it can quickly establish a strategic position in the international race of emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, in order to prevent the EU from becoming dependent on digital giants; emphasizes that development of reliable artificial intelligence technology is essential for ensuring European strategic autonomy; therefore, calls on the Union to keep up and increase its investment in this area;
