Believes, therefore, that the implementation of the Ecodesign Directive – in addition to continued efforts to improve energy efficiency – must now address the full life cycle of the products within its scope, with the setting up of minimum resource criteria covering, inter alia, robustness, repairability and upgradeability, but also sharing potential, reuse, scalability, recyclability and use of recycled materials; stresses that, in this context, the Eco-Design Directive should be geared to the central concern, which is fighting planned obsolescence;
