Regrets the lack of cooperation between countries and emphasises that the Commission Notice on the dual quality of foodstuffs lacks ambition, and proposes steps that will not have little or noany genuine positive impact on the market and that can therefore be seen as token measures; stresses that it is important to develop clear and efficient guidance and support for consumer authorities, and that corrective action is urgently needed; to guarantee that products with the same packaging and which are advertised in the same way have the same composition, with a view to ensuring equal treatment for all citizens in all EU Member States;
