3. Strongly believes that interoperability between systems, devices and cloud services, based on security and privacy by design, are essential for enabling real time data flows enabling robots to become more flexible and autonomous; asks the Commission to promote an open environment, from open standards and innovative licensing models, to open platforms and transparency, in order to avoiregards it as essential to promote high encryption standards for robot-server interaction in order to prevent leakage of essential strategic data or a malicious machine takeover; insists that it is essential to foster synergies between semiconductor producers, business software vendors and clock-in in proprietary systems that restrain interoperability; ud IT service providers so as to ensure that Europe leads the way in the miniaturisation of industrial robot control units;
