1. Urges the Commission and the Member States to introduce a fundamental reform ofadapt the multiannual financial framework (MFF), to prevent Brexit from having any negative effects onaking account of Brexit in determining the level of funding earmarked for EU- wide cooperation programmes, in the fields of culture, education and research, that have clearly demonstrated their European added value and enjoy lasting popularity among beneficiaries;

Recognises the long-termspecific educational challenges posfaced by the integration of refugees and migrants into European society for new arrivals and host societies, underlines the importance of cultural and educational programmes in this regard, and calls for long-term and coordinated investments through current and future Erasmus+, Creative Europe and Europe for Citizens programmes to support Member States in their effortseach Member State and calls for the funds that have not been used in educational and cultural programmes to be returned to the Member States so that they can use them to respond to these challenges, given that they are best placed to do so in line with the subsidiarity principle;
