(25a) whereas Europe’s creative and cultural sectors are the EU’s strongest assets, whereas they represent 4.2 % of the EU’s GDP, create 8.4 million jobs, equal to 3.7 % of total employment in the EU, are economically resilient, even in times of crisis, provide creative inputs that vitalise all sectors of activity, are the driving force behind change and offer a higher percentage of youth employment than other sectors.
