1. WelcomeRegards the Annual Growth Survey 2018 as an important part of the Europeoverall policies for jobs, growth and investment process, based on a; considers that the strategy of investment, structural reforms and responsible public finances must be coupled with implementing policies and measures for fulfilling the principles and objectives of the European Pillar of Social Rights; calls on the Member States to take account of the priorities identified in the survey in their national policies and strategies to promote growth, employment, social cohesion and social protection; and inclusion;

Welcomes the Interinstitutional Proclamation on the European Pillar of Social Rights and believes its 20 key principles regarding equal opportunities and access to the labour market, fair working conditions and social protection and inclusion should serve as a point of reference when implementing the European Semester policy coordination cycle; calls on the Commission to put forward corresponding recommendations and interact with Member States in order to undertake relevant measures and dedicate adequate resources and financing for implementation of the Pillar and achieving of concrete results;

Is concerned that the use of more flexible and non-standard forms of employment creates risk for job security, earnings, working conditions and could lead to exclusion from social protection; urges Member States to provide and implement adequate labour and social protection legislation in order to counteract the increased risks for job security, earnings, working conditions and social protection due to the rapidly spreading use of flexible and non- standard forms of employment;

Is of the opinion that Cohesion Policy, as the main public investment policy of the European Union, has demonstrated its effectiveness in reducing inequalities and should therefore be maintained at least a similar budgetary level in the future multiannual financial framework; considers that the European Social Fund should be retained as the main EU instrument for the integration and reintegration of workers into the labour market, as well as for supporting measures for social inclusion, combating poverty and inequalities;
