Calls on the Commission and the Member States to recognize the need to work seriously to develop preventive measures, pest monitoring, early warning and decision support systems as well as alternative control measures, with the aim of developing robust cropping systems that are cost-effective in order to promote further IPM implementation in all Member States; considers that agricultural knowledge and information systems (AKIS) need to be constantly improved, and there is a need to offer advisory systems independent of sales of pesticide products; calls on Member States to coordinate to develop such systems;
