Welcomes the European Strategy on Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS) as a common framework of action; strongly supports a legislative instrument establishing a framework for the deployment of C-ITS at EU level; calls on the Commission to include urban air and waterborne transport in the C-ITS strategy, focussing on multimodality and the integration of different modes of transport;
