B. whereas women and girls are victims of the violence perpetrated by IS, which includes enslavement, sexual exploitation and violence, extrajudicial killings, unlawful trials with inhuman punishments, attacks amounting to war crimes and crimes against humanity; at the same time there is a need to raise the issue of protection of women and human rights defenders exposed to arrests by the Assad regime;
