Calls for the ecodesign criteria to be broadened to includesystematically assessing resource efficiency, parameters for the circular economy and health; considers it necessary to assess combineing resource efficiency and circularity of materials with continuous energy savings; stresses that energy should be considered a key resource and that products should be optimised for both energy consumption and material use; believes that focusing on the criteria of from a lifecycle perspective; believes that durability, upgradability, reparability and recyclability willcan also provide a unique opportunity forsupport job development;
