Calls for adequate resources for the European Supervisory Authorities (ESAs) in view of their new tasks; underlines that the ESAs should continue to increase their efficiency without compromising on the quality of their work with a focus on continuous re-assessment of working methods and of effective use of human and financial resources; emphasises that in the interest of a prudent use of their budgets the ESAs must at all times stick to the tasks and to the mandate assigned to them by the European legislator and must not seek to broaden that mandate;
