Stresses that empowering women and girls, and protecting them from human trafficking, violence and exploitation must be a priority in our cooperation with African nations; notes that this can be aided by the exchange of best practice and specific EU initiatives regarding education and health for women and girls; stresses that ensuring the equality, fundamental rights and freedom of women and girls, is an essential component of fighting criminality and strengthening the African economy;
