Stresses that the directive on combating violence against women and domestic violence proposed by the European Commission on 8 March 2022 aims to establish common minimum standards for the protection of victims of gender-based violence by improving their access to justice, by encouraging Member States to set up a mechanism of one-stop shops to provide guidance, counselling and protection to victims, and by developing shelters with an adequate distribution of one family per 10 000 inhabitants, as foreseen in the final activity report of the Council of Europe Task Force to Combat Violence against Women, including Domestic Violence (EG-TFV (2008)6);
