Emphasises that the EU is facing an unprecedented challenge in mitigating the economic impact of the energy crisis and Russia’s criminal, unjustified and illegal aggression in Ukraine, taking into account the EU’s strategy of having a lasting influence on Member States’ resilience, and takes the view that the economic recovery must be achieved by strengthening the internal market, research and innovation, and by boosting competitiveness, whilst also improving the situation of SMEs and their access to private capital;
