Notes the entry into force of the TPNW as an expression of the desire of the majority of the global community to live innd recognizes its vision for a nuclear weapon-free world; recalls that the goal of nuclear disarmament must be pursued while ensuring international stability and undiminished collective security; invites all NPT States Parties to therefore constructively engage in the NPT framework, and agree on realistic, effective, tangible, reciprocal and verifiable measures conducive to the achievement of the ultimate shared long- term goal of nuclear disarmament; expresses its worry that the TPNW could undermine the work of the NPT, to which 191 States are parties, as not only attention but also resources are drawn away from this important field in which virtually the entirety of the global community is already engaged; underlines therefore the importance of the NPT and the need to ensure its proper work and to avoid any efforts to undermine its important goal of nuclear disarmament;
