(16) Decision (EU) 2015/1814 should therefore be amended accordingly,. However, in the six months following the entry into force of the directive amending Directive 2003/87/EC, the Commission must carry out an assessment on its impact on supply and demand for emissions allowances on the market and must put forward a fresh proposal to amend Article 1(5) of Decision (EU) 2015/1814 on a market stability reserve, if necessary, in the light of the results of that assessment.

(16) Decision (EU) 2015/1814 should therefore be amended accordingly, However, within six months of entry into force of the proposal for a directive amending Directive 2003/87, the Commission shall conduct an assessment of its impact on the supply of and demand for allowances in the market and submit a new proposal to amend Article 1(5) of Decision (EU) 2015/1814, if necessary in view of the results of that assessment.
