Welcomes that the new rescEU programme will receive €156,2 million in order to help it better tackle earthquakes, wildfire, forest fires and other natural disasters; stresses the need for instruments such as the Civil Protection Mechanism and the Solidarity Fund to cover environmental catastrophes and valorise the damage to the environment;
