Points out that, according to the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction, (UNDRR) over the last 20 years (2000- 2019), 7 348there were 7,348 major natural disasters thave been recorded worldwide at a cost of around USD 3 000 billion, compared to 3 656 disasters between 1980 and 1999t claimed 1.23 million lives, affected 4.2 billion people and resulted in $2.97 trillion in global economic losses;
