Regrets that the objectives of the CAP (Article 33 and 34 of the EC Treaty) were not changed by the Treaty of Lisbon and that those objectives remain identical to those set out originally at the start of the CAP; fFeels that the provisions on agriculture need updating to take account of the current situation (introduction of a second pillar, rural development, quality, animal welfare and the environment);
