Welcomes the work of the interparliamentary delegations and election observation missions and their efforts, in their relations with third-country parliaments, to organise Women’s Forums and to address issues related to gender equality and women’s empowerment through more systematic monitoring and pursuit of issues such as female genital mutilation and maternal mortality, and by working more closely with the Committee on Women’s Rights and Gender Equality in arranging joint meetings and exchanging information in these areas;
