Stresses that protecting minors from exposure to online gambling should remain a major policy objective; underlines the need to implement EU-wide standards for age and identity verifications to prevent underage gamblers from accessing remote gambling products; underlines the need to carry out a comparative study in order to establish which of the current age- verification models function properly;

7a. Recommends the setting-up of a joint centre for information exchange to promote a better exchange of good practices, including initiatives on awareness-raising among Member States as education and prevention are of the utmost importance in protecting minors in online gambling.
