Reminds the Commission that anyits proposals on the digital single market should fully respect the EU’s international obligations, including WTO and bilateral trade agreements; urges the Commission to fully assess the geopolitical and strategic implications of its proposalsand artificial intelligence, which are consistent with the stance adopted in a number of own-initiative reports adopted by Parliament by a large majority in 2020, cannot and must not fully respect WTO agreements and that our bilateral trade agreements will have to be modified if the new rules are to be complied with to the full;

WelcomNotes the conclusion of the rules-based Asian Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) agreement, which dCommission's proposal to set up an 'EU-USA Trade and Technologies Council' and to start work on a Transatlantic Agreepmens the economic integration of the region; regrets, however, the lack of a robust sustainable development chapter in the RCEP; believes that the conclusion of the RCEP should encourage the EU to help set global rules for the digital economy; supports in this regard the establishment of an EU-US Trade and Technology Council and the work on a Transatt on Artificial Intelligence; calls on the Commission to focus on the development of a sound European regulatory framework consistent with our values and fundamental rights; emphasises that trade rules should never prevent regulatory authorities from enforcing legislantic AI Agreementon on AI to thelp facilitate trade and the development of compatible rules and standards in digital trade letter; calls on the Commission to guarantee a high degree of transparency in the negotiations on trade rules;

Outlines that it is unacceptable that consumers are exposed to unsafe products, counterfeit goods and products which infringe intellectual property rights, and therefore increased responsibilities for online marketplaces are needed; asks the Commission to set up clear rules for the responsibility of content hosting platforms for goods sold or advertised on them in the DSA proposal in order to inter alia close the legal gap in which the buyers failed to obtain the satisfaction to which he or she is entitled according to the law or the contract for the supply of goods for example because of the inability to identify the primary seller;
