Stresses the need to pursue the broadest possible solutions to address European dependence with regard to the supply of critical raw materials by actively supporting the eco-design of manufactured goods, measures to tackle planned obsolescence, product repeatability, incentives to increase restraint in production and consumption patterns, and the promotion of research and development in disruptive technologies that reduce use of and dependence as regards critical raw materials;
