Stresses the need for an early, fair, transparent and free-of-charge assessment of refugees and asylum seekers’ formal and non-formal skills, as well as recognition of their qualifications, in order to develop tailored measures allowing them to make full use of their potential, and to match labour supply and demand in the host countries; emphasises that language skill acquisition plays an essential role in integrating refugees, in particular into the labour market;
