(6a) This Regulation should take account of the provisions of Directive 2011/82/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 October 2011 facilitating the cross-border exchange of information on road safety related traffic offences in order to enable the authorities of a Member State to which an application to register a vehicle registered in another Member State has been submitted to check whether that vehicle is linked to any unresolved proceedings relating to traffic offences.

(da) the holder of the vehicle registered in another Member State is still the subject of proceedings concerning road safety related traffic offences covered under Directive 2011/82/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 October 2011 facilitating the cross-border exchange of information on road safety related traffic offences1. Once those proceedings have been concluded, the Member State authority may not, by virtue of this subparagraph, oppose the registration of the vehicle. __________________ 1 OJ, 5 November 2011, L 288/1
