Points out that, given the prospects for increased LNG supplies in the coming years, this strategy might be accompanied by an assessment of needs in terms of LNG carriers and measures to enable the EU shipbuilding industry to benefit from the increased transport volumes anticipated, thereby helping the industry to achieve its target of 20% of GDP by 2020;
