Warns of the high average age of the fleet in small-scale fishing, which means a programme to renew and update the small-scale fleet is needed with a view to improving safety and on-board living conditions, improving energy efficiency andfacilitating the energy transition and improving environmental sustainability, while ensuring the social and economic sustainability of the fishing communities that depend on the fleet;
