Believes that price volatility results fromis greatly exacerbated by the increased unregulated liberalisation of trade in agricultural products and by speculation, and that it is necessary to create regulatory mechanisms that can ensure a degree of market stability and a more transparent food chain, thus responding to the need to guarantee producers a decent standard of living;
