Reminds that the EU is heavily dependent on the imports of critical raw materials and between 75% and 100% reliant on imports for most metals; to reduce EUs excessive import dependence and to improve the resource security, there is an urgent need to move towards a fully circular economy that would ensure that the valuable raw materials are kept and reused within EU; therefore calls on the Commission to make circular economy transition a priority
