F. whereas a common DGS, originally intended as the third pillar of the BU, so far consists only in an approximation of national DGSs, while a common DGS that is; the next steps towards a common DGS should not be taken before the completion of the current harmonisation efforts. Otherwise we will not be able to ensure the same level of protection for deposits, irrespective of their location, is a necessary component of a true BU;.
