Stresses that many of the jobs created in the EU are precarious, with fixed-term contracts, and women are particularly affected; calls, consequently, on the Commission and Member States to encourage the adoption of measures to combat labour precariousness, supporting the transition from the use of fixed-term contracts to the use of open-ended contracts;
