Is convinced that, in order to effectively counteract hostile propaganda, the EU and its Member States need at their disposal deep and comprehensive intelligence to identity and analyse its sources and impact; calls therefore on the Commission and Member States to initiate steps towards the establishment of a European Intelligence Agency, endowed with adequate resources and institutional autonomy to provide relevant intelligence that could be used to combat propaganda and strategic communication efforts directed against the EU and its Member States;
