Takes note of the Commission’s communication on a fiscal stance; questions the usefulness of an aggregate targetdoubts the potential of an aggregate target as an instrument to provide practical guidance, given the current lack of significant spill- over effects of domestic demand between Member States; welcomes however the intention shown by the communication to reflect on economic policies from the European angle; recalls that the Member States must comply with the Stability and Growth Pact, regardless of aggregate recommendations;
