However, these stocks represent a small portion of the total landings. In the Mediterranean, according to the Commission for the Mediterranean(GFCM) 2018 report on The State of Mediterranean and Black Sea Fisheries, the percentage of overexploited fish stocks decreased from 88 percent in 2014 to 78percent in 2016, and to 62.5 percent in 2017 according to the SOFIA report 2020 (http://www.fao.org/gfcm/news/detail/en/c /1174318/);
